Spectro

Terms & conditions

Terms of sale and licence for Spectro: plans, subscriptions, one computer at a time, withdrawal, warranty and updates.

Seller

Spectro is sold by [Full legal name or company name] ([NIF / CIF]), [Street, number, postcode, city, Spain]. Contact: support@spectrovst.com. These terms apply to every purchase on spectrovst.com and to the use of the Spectro software.

What you buy

A personal, non-exclusive and non-transferable licence to use the Spectro software (VST3 plugin and standalone app for Windows) for personal and commercial music production. You buy a licence, not the software: all intellectual property stays with the seller.

Plans and prices

Two plans: a monthly subscription and a lifetime licence paid once. Current prices are shown on the pricing page in euros and include VAT, calculated for your country at checkout. Both plans give the same software.

Account

You need a spectrovst.com account to buy and activate Spectro. You must be at least 18, or have the consent of a parent or guardian. Keep your password private; you can protect the account with two-step verification. You are responsible for what is done with your account.

One person, one computer at a time

Each licence belongs to one account and one person. It can be active on one computer at a time. Activating it on another computer moves it there and deactivates it on the previous one. Sharing a licence or an account with other people is not allowed.

Licence codes

Every licence has an 18-digit code. Codes bought on spectrovst.com are added to the buyer’s account automatically. Codes received as a gift or from an authorised reseller must be added to an account under Redeem a code; each code can be added to one account only, and once added it can’t be moved to another account.

Subscriptions

The monthly plan is charged in advance and renews automatically every month until you cancel. You can cancel at any time from your account: the licence keeps working until the end of the period already paid and nothing more is charged. Periods already paid are not refunded pro rata. If a renewal payment fails, Stripe retries it for a few days; if it still fails, the licence stops working once the paid period and a 3-day grace period are over. We will email you before any price change, which will only apply from your next renewal; you can cancel before then.

Upgrading to lifetime

A subscriber can buy the lifetime licence at any time. The subscription then ends without further charges and the same licence code carries over.

Payment and delivery

Payments are processed by Stripe; we never receive or store your card details. When the checkout page shows Stripe as the seller of record, Stripe’s own terms also apply to the payment, tax and receipt. The licence is delivered to your account immediately after payment, and the installer is available from the Downloads section of your account. You receive a receipt by email.

Right of withdrawal

Spectro is digital content supplied without a physical medium. When you buy, you expressly request immediate delivery and acknowledge that you lose the 14-day right of withdrawal once the licence is delivered (art. 103(m) of the Spanish General Consumer Protection Law, Directive 2011/83/EU). We confirm this in your purchase email. See refunds & withdrawal.

Warranty

If Spectro is faulty or does not match its description, you have the legal remedies for digital content: bringing it into conformity, a price reduction or ending the contract with a refund (arts. 114 and following of the same law). For a lifetime licence this covers lack of conformity appearing within two years of delivery; for a subscription, during the whole subscription. Write to us first: most problems are solved quickly.

Updates

Subscribers receive every update while their subscription is active. The lifetime licence includes every 2.x update; a future major version may be offered separately. We may provide updates that keep the software working, secure and compliant.

What you create is yours

Audio you produce with Spectro, including recordings processed with it and sounds built from its presets, belongs to you and can be released commercially without royalties.

What is not allowed

Copying or distributing the software, reselling or renting licences, decompiling or reverse-engineering it, or bypassing its licensing, except where the law expressly allows it.

Suspension and termination

We may revoke a licence obtained fraudulently, refunded, charged back, or used in serious breach of these terms, after telling you why. You can stop using Spectro and delete your account at any time.

Liability

Use Spectro with appropriate care for your monitoring level and keep backups of your projects. Our liability is limited to the amount you paid in the last 12 months, except for wilful misconduct, gross negligence, personal injury, or where the law does not allow it to be limited. Nothing in these terms limits your rights as a consumer.

Changes

We may update these terms. The version accepted at purchase applies to that purchase; for subscriptions, changes apply from the next renewal after we notify you.

Law and disputes

These terms are governed by Spanish law, without depriving consumers of the protection of the mandatory laws of their country of residence. Consumers may take disputes to the courts of their place of residence. Write to us first: we answer every complaint.
